Property from an Important European Collection Alberto Giacometti 1901 - 1966 Femme de Venise VIII inscribed Alberto Giacometti, numbered 0/6 and inscribed with the foundry mark Susse Fondeur Paris ; stamped with the foundry mark Susse Fondeur Paris Cire Perdue (on the interior) bronze height: 122 cm. 48 in. Conceived in 1956; this example cast in bronze by Susse Fondeur in 1973. The authenticity of this work has been confirmed by the Comité Giacometti and it is recorded in the Alberto Giacometti database as AGD 4488.
